How did you come up with Brooklyn?
Anthony loved the name Brooks for a little boy, but I was worried Brooks Bass would be trouble for a kid. Water and a fish for a name?! lol. So I said we should name our daughter Brooklyn and you could call her Brooks (We don't call her Brooks lol). For some reason, right then we knew Brooklyn was our baby girl. We picked her name before we were even engaged.
Are you moving to chicago?
As a baseball wife (and a wife in genera), I will follow my husband and his career wherever it may take us. (Just how I feel. It isn't right or wrong if you don't move with your husband every job move. Each situation is different.)
any advice for finding a husband?
Focus on yourself! Don't go out searching for your husband. People always told me, Mister Right will come along when you least expect it and that is so true! Fall in love with yourself first. When you are busy loving life, you give off an energy that is infectious. I believe you have to find yourself first before you can "find" your soulmate.
What are easy things to do for yourself as a new mom?
Take a bubble bath, wash, blow-dry and fix your hair! Go get your nails done and grab a coffee. It's funny how doing small things for yourself will give you energy and make you feel refreshed. (I will write a detailed blog on this topic!!)
Where did you get married?
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at FLORA FARMS (in Cabo). We stayed at Cabo Azul for the week, which we LOVED! Every day they had a happy hour (two for one) and volleyball games on the beach (which we always took part in). The location of Cabo Azul was Great! There were places to eat across the street and it was a ten minutes drive to Flora Farms. Our rehearsal dinner was at The Office! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was a fiesta and the location was beautiful (tables are in the sand on the beach).
